Proyek Terminal Bandara XYZ dibangun untuk mengatasi kelebihan kapasitas pada bandara tersebut. Proyek ini menggunakan kontrak Design and Build yang umumnya dipilih untuk efisiensi dan efektivitas pekerjaan proyek, tetapi dalam pekerjaannya masih didapati adanya klaim yang terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan klaim konstruksi pada proyek Design and Build dan mengembangkan sistem manajemen klaim untuk meningkatkan kinerja waktu dan biaya pada proyek tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data melalui survei kuesioner dan wawancara terkait proyek Design and Build. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor-faktor penyebab klaim yang dominan dan ditolak oleh owner serta tindakan korektif berupa sistem manajemen klaim untuk meminimalisir klaim pada proyek konstruksi.

Project Terminal of XYZ Airport built to cope with the excess capacity at the airport. This project uses a Design and Build contract are generally chosen for the efficiency and effectiveness of project work, but during the operation there still found the claims which occurs in the process. This study aims to identify the factors that led to the claim construction on the project Design and Build and develop a claims management system to improve the performance of the time and cost of the project.

The study was conducted by collecting data via survey questionnaires and interviews related to Design and Build projects. Results shows the factors that cause the dominant claims and rejected by the owner as well as corrective measures in the form of claim management system to minimize claims on construction projects.
