Oromaxillofacial infection is usually mild, easily treated, and may only require the administration of antibiotics. If it is not treated appropriately, it will become severe, or be more complex that requires the hospitalization. A general practitioner dentist must understand the management of this infection in early stage to prevent the infection from becoming severe.
