The current practice in architectural studies which is enhanced by various digital computations and machined customization provokes the issue of the use of form. This paper investigates this issue by investigating two built project of renowned success done by one of the most prominent architect of the twentieth century, Le Corbusier. The Ronchamp chapel and the monastery of La Toureite are selected to be studied the elements because of their apparent difference in its formal quality, while both have been subject of continuous discussion in architectural studies. The paper tries to dissect each format approach used in each building and discover their effect and relation to user and program. The project's ability to evoke multiple reading suggest the possibility to answer the question of formal efficiency, which is their ability to evoke multiple numerous compressive reading that has continually been rediscovered by critics, architects and their user, rendering the buildings been a timeless source of inspiration.
