ABSTRAK Skripsi ini mengangkat permasalahan mengenai representasi alam dalam novel Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru karya Miyazawa Kenji. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat penggambaran alam dalam teks novel Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru dengan menggunakan kajian ekokritisisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan memfokuskan pada novel Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori analisis struktural Tzvetan Todorov sebagai metode analisa teks. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan penggambaran unsur-unsur alam dalam teks Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru melalui berbagai macam tokoh dan latar yang ada di dalam teks.

ABSTRACT This thesis is about the representation of nature in Miyazawa Kenji rsquo s novel Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru. The aim of this thesis is to look for the representation of nature by using the ecocriticism literary approach. This research uses the qualitative method focusing on the novel version of Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru and is analyzed by using Tzvetan Todorov rsquo s structural analysis theory. The conclusion of this research found that the nature is represented in the text of Ginga Tetsudou no Yoru through various characters and settings included in the text of the novel.
