 Abstract

budidaya. Penelitian ini menambahkan bikarbonat (HCO3
-) dan membatasi nitrat
(NO3
-) dalam medium Walne. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan
lipid mikroalga Chlorella vulgaris dan Nannochloropsis oculata. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa kultur Chlorella vulgaris pada perlakuan [HCO3
-] 75 ppm +
[NO3
-] 0 ppm menghasilkan lipid terbesar sebanyak 22,5% berat kering sel,
sedangkan Nannochloropsis oculata menghasilkan lipid terbesar pada perlakuan
[HCO3
-] 25 ppm + [NO3
-] 0 ppm sebanyak 29,5% berat kering sel. Asam lemak
yang dominan dihasilkan Chlorella vulgaris adalah asam palmitat sebesar 2,47%
dan 5,65%, serta asam oleat sebesar 1,58% dan 18,71%, sedangkan
Nannochloropsis oculata hanya menghasilkan asam palmitat sebesar 1,36%-
1,37%.

ABSTRACT
Chlorella vulgaris and Nannochloropsis oculata are highly potential microalgae
used in biodiesel industrial pilot scale. The main target of this industry is the
essential content of lipids from these microalgae. One of the key factors in
improving lipid microalgae is the setting of nutrients in the cultivation medium.
This study was added bicarbonate (HCO3
-) and limits nitrate (NO3
-) to the Walne
medium. The aim of the study is to increase the lipid microalgae of Chlorella
vulgaris and Nannochloropsis oculata. The results showed that culture of
Chlorella vulgaris in the [HCO3
-] 75 ppm + [NO3
-] 0 ppm treatment produced the
largest lipid of 22.5% dry weight, while Nannochloropsis oculata produced the
largest lipid in [HCO3
-] 25 ppm + [NO3
-] 0 ppm treatment as much as 29.5% dry
weight. The dominant fatty acids produced by Chlorella vulgaris are palmic acid
of 2.47% and 5.65%, and oleic acid of 1.58% and 18.71%, while Nannochloropsis
oculata only produced palmitic acid of 1.36% -1, 37%.
