ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh "momong cucu" oleh kakek-nenek terhadap status bekerja ibu, dengan memanfaatkan data SUPAS 2015. Sebagai unit analisis adalah perempuan menikah usia 15-54 tahun yang memiliki anak usia 12 tahun ke bawah dan tinggal bersama suami/pasangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan kakek-nenek dalam sebuah keluarga memberi pengaruh positif terhadap peluang seorang ibu untuk bekerja baik di sektor formal maupun informal, meskipun kakek-nenek tidak terlibat dalam mengasuh cucu. Pengaruh ini semakin besar ketika kakek-nenek turut serta dalam mengasuh anak, dalam bentuk momong cucu.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to investigate the effect of grand-parenting on mother's work participation, uses SUPAS 2015 data. The unit of analyses are married women aged 15-54 years who live with their husbands or spouses and also have children 12 years old age and younger. The results of this study indicate that the existence of grandparent in a family gives a positive influence on a mother's chances to work both in the formal and informal sectors, although grandparents are not involved in grandparenting. The effect is greater when grandparents participate in childcare, in the form of grandparenting.
