Tesis ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kompetensi dengan kinerja petugas promosi kesehatan di Puskesmas se-Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan survey analitik cross sectional dengan metode peneltian kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel semua variabel yaitukompetensi intelektual, kompetensi emosional dan kompetensi sosial berhubungan dengan kinerja petugas promosi kesehatan. Untuk pengaruh dari variabel kompetensi dengan kinerja, variabel yang sangat berpengaruh adalah kompetensi emosional. Hasil penelitian diharapkan Dinas Kesehatan Kota Tangerang membuat kebijakan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dari petugas promosi kesehatan dengan memberikan pelatihan, pembinaan petugas promkesenam bulan sekali atau setahun sekali dan petugas dan pimpinan puskesmas maudan mampu berkoordinasi dengan dinas kesehatan untuk mengajukan usulan diadakannya pendidikan dan latihan sehingga petugas promosi kesehatan terampil.

This thesis aims to analyze the relationship of competence with the performance of health promotion officers at the Health Center of Tangerang City. This research use cross sectional analytic survey with quantitative research method. The results showed that the variables of all variables, namely intellectual competence, emotional competence and social competence related to the performance of health promotion officers. For the influence of competence variable with performance, highly influential variable is emotional competence. The result of the research is expected by Tangerang City Health Office to make policy to increase the competence of Health Promotion Officer by giving training, guidance of six monthly or once a year promotion officer and officer and leader of puskesmas willing and able to coordinate with health department to propose education and training skilled promotion.
