Skripsi ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kinerja sistem papan elektronik yang berfungsi menampilkan estimasi waktu kedatangan bis kuning Universitas Indonesia secara real-time, dan akan terpasang di setiap halte di Universitas Indonesia. Sistem papan elektronik ini menggunakan kontroler utama berupa mikrokontroler Atmel AVR 8-bit berbasis platform Arduino dan menggunakan teknologi GPRS untuk dapat terhubung dengan server. Sistem ini mengambil data hasil perhitungan estimasi waktu kedatangan bis kuning untuk setiap halte. Informasi akan diperbarui secara periodik oleh server. Hasil pengujian sistem memperlihatkan bahwa tingkat keberhasilan pengambilan data dari server adalah sebesar 99.6 untuk pukul 23:53 hingga pukul 02:46, dan 99.7 untuk pukul 07:24 hingga pukul 09:43. Rata-rata penggunaan kuota GPRS adalah 10.3 MB untuk periode 10 hari. Selain fungsi utama, papan elektronik juga melakukan fungsi tambahan untuk proses maintenance dan debugging dengan memanfaatkan layanan SMS.

The purpose of the thesis is to evaluate the performance of the device which will function as a real time display of the estimated time of arrival of the Yellow Bus of the University of Indonesia, and will be installed in every bus shelter at the University of Indonesia. The device uses an 8 bit Atmel AVR microcontroller based on Arduino platform for its main controller, and utilizes GPRS based connection with the server. The system fetches the data of the calculated estimation time of arrival of the Yellow Bus for each shelter. The information will be updated periodically by the server.

The result of the system testing shows that the success rate of the data fetching was 99.6 for the duration of 23 53 until 02 46, and 99.7 for the duration of 07 24 until 09 43. The average usage of GPRS quota was 10.3 MB for a period of 10 days. In addition to its main function, the device also has additional functions for maintenance and debugging by utilizing SMS service.
