ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan penelitian mengenai pengungkapan tanggung jawab sosial CSR di perusahaan-perusahaan Indonesia. Penelitian ini membagi CSR menjadi yang dua karakteristik yaitu CSR Inti dan Umum. CSR inti adalah CSR yang memperlihatkan kinerja nyata dan CSR Umum adalah pengungkapan CSR yang bersifat umum atau mudah untuk dimanipulasi. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 102 perusahaan dari semua sektor industri dengan klasifikasi GCIS yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2015. Pengukuran CSR dilakukan dengan analisis isi laporan keuangan yang memakai koding Clarkson et al. 2008 modifikasi. Kemudian penelitian ini juga menguji hubungan antara CSR Inti dan Umum dengan biaya tanggung jawab sosial serta price to book ratio 2015 dan 2016. Hubungan ini diuji dengan Spearman rank correlation test. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa jumlah pengungkapan CSR di Indonesia masih rendah dan tingkat pengungkapan CSR Umum lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada CSR Inti. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa ada perbedaan signifikan antara tingkat pengungkapan high profile dan low profile industry. Ditemukan pula bahwa CSR Inti memiliki hubungan positif dengan biaya CSR di keseluruhan industri, dan pada industri high profile, CSR Umum memiliki hubungan positif signifikan dengan biaya CSR. Selain itu ditemukan hubungan positif signifikan antara CSR Inti price to book ratio 2016 pada jenis industri high profile.

This research aims to do research about the level of corporate social responsibility of firms in Indonesia. This research differs between two different CSR characteristics that are core CSR and general CSR. Core CSR disclosure is CSR that show real performance and General CSR is CSR that is easy to manipulate. The sample used is 102 companies from all industry sectors with GCIS classification listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2015. The measurement of CSR disclosure is done by content analysis that used the modification of Clarkson et al. 2008 coding index. This research also tests the relationship between Core and General CSR with CSR Expenditure and price to book ratio 2015 and 2016. This relationship is tested with Spearman rank correlation test. The results of this study show that the number of CSR disclosures in Indonesia is still low and the level of General CSR disclosure is significantly higher than the Core CSR. The study also found that there is a significant difference between disclosure level of high profile industry and the low profile industry. It was also found that Core CSR has a positive relationship with CSR expenditure, and in high profile industry, General CSR have a significant positive relationship with CSR expenditure. In addition, there is a positive significant relationship between Core CSR and price to book ratio 2016 in high profile industry.
