Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh agency cost terhadap debt structure pada perusahaan yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode tahun 2006 - 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode regresi data panel. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa agency cost berpengaruh positif terhadap debt structure pada perusahaan dengan nilai Tobins rsquo;s Q < 1. Temuan lain menunjukkan bahwa agency cost tidak berpengaruh terhadap debt structure pada perusahaan dengan nilai Tobin rsquo;s Q > 1.

This study aims to identify the effect of agency cost on debt structure of firms listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in period 2006 ndash 2015. This study uses panel data regression method. The result of this study show that agency cost has a significant positive relationship with debt structure on the firms with value of Tobin rsquo s Q 1.
