ABSTRACTSkripsi ini membahas mengenai Lomba Cipta Lagu Remaja LCLR Prambors sebagai wadah kreativitas remaja dalam mencipta lagu. Selain itu, ajang ini juga merupakan perlawanan terhadap musik pop yang terdengar seragam, baik dari kesederhanaan melodi, akord, dan penulisan lirik di era 70-an. Skripsi ini mendiskusikan latar belakang Radio Prambors dalam menyelenggarakan LCLR hingga kiprah dan dampaknya dalam memberi angin segar bagi belantika musik pop tanah air. Radio Prambors sebagai agen budaya populer berupaya menyajikan musik Indonesia yang berbeda. Pada dekade 1970an, semangat mencipta dan mengaransemen lagu di kalangan remaja ibu kota menyeruak, hal ini terlihat dari munculnya trend vocal group atau folksong. Oleh karena itu, tidak mengherankan jika bermunculan banyak musisi muda. Namun ironisnya para musisi muda tersebut hanya sempat populer di sekitar lingkungannya saja, dan tidak sempat dikenal oleh masyarakat luas bahkan lagu ciptaan mereka dilupakan begitu saja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah metode sejarah yang meliputi heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa melalui LCLR terjaring sederet lagu dan komposer muda yang memiliki karakter berbeda dengan musik pop yang tengah merajai Industri musik pop Indonesia era 70-an.

ABSTRACTThe following thesis focuses on discussing the existence of Lomba Cipta Lagu Remaja LCLR Prambors as a field of youth rsquo s creativity in creating songs. In addition, LCLR were also a form of resistance against ubiquitous pop music, in terms of its simplicity of melody, accord, and lyric writing in lsquo 70s era. This thesis discusses various events, from the background of Prambors Radio in organizing LCLR, until its development and impact of giving fresh wind to Indonesian pop music industry. Prambors Radio as a popular cultural agent attempted to provide distinguished Indonesian Pop Music. During 1970 rsquo s, the spirit to create and compose song between youths imploded, this was seen from the rising of vocal groups or folksong. Therefore, it was not surprising that many new young musicians appeared. But ironically, those young musicians only have been popular around their peers, in other words, they have not been known by wider audience, even some of them was forgotten too quickly. This thesis investigated using the historical method which includes heuristic, critic, interpretation and historiography. The following research shows LCLR involves of songs and young composers that have different characteristics compared to the major pop music industry.
