 Abstract

Background 85 of ischemic stroke patient, suffer from hemiparesis after the attack. This hemiparesis cause stroke patients to have difficulties to do activities of daily living. Objective This study is aimed to observe the correlation between sides of hemiparesis in chronic stroke patient with the ability to do activities of daily living.Method This study utilizes cross sectional method with 23 subject chosen by quota sampling method. The independent variable in this study is divided into two group. The hemiparesis dextra and hemiparesis sinistra. Result There is no meaningful correlation statistically between sides of hemiparesis in chronic stroke patient and MSBI score p 0,005 Discussion The statistically meaningless relationship between sides of hemiparesis in chronic stroke patients and MSBI score might be cause by the low amount of subjects. This is because the relationship between sides of hemiparesis in chronic stroke patients with barthel index had been found meaningful on other study. Keywords Stroke, Hemiparesis, MSBI
