ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat penggunaan derivatif terhadap penghindaran pajak pada bank umum di Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap bank umum kecuali bank asing, bank daerah dan bank syariah dengan periode yang dilakukan selama tiga tahun yaitu 2014 hingga 2016. Proksi yang digunakan sebagai pengukur penghindaran pajak pada penelitian ini adalah book tax difference dan effective tax rate. Hasil penelitian dengan pengukuran book tax difference menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penggunaan transaksi derivatif berpengaruh positif terhadap penghindaran pajak, sedangkan hasil penelitian dengan pengukuran effective tax rate menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penggunaan derivatif tidak berpengaruh terhadap penghindaran pajak pada bank umum yang terdaftar dan diawasi Otoritas Jasa Keuangan selama periode 2014-2016.
ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the use of derivatives against tax avoidance in commercial banks in Indonesia. The study was conducted on commercial banks except for foreign banks, regional banks and sharia banks with a period of three years from 2014 to 2016. Proxies used as tax avoidance measure in this study is the book tax difference and effective tax rate. The result of the research by using book tax difference measurement shows the level of the use of derivatives have a positive effect on tax avoidance, while the result of the research with the effective tax rate measurement indicates the level of the use of derivative has no effect on tax avoidance at commercial banks held and supervised by the Financial Services Authority during 2014 2016 .
