The purpose of this study is to find out the forms ofsocial criticism in the short stories of the Angin Besar Menggerus Ladang-ladang Kami by Hajriansyah and Hitam Putih Kotaku by Rismivana The problems in this study are how the form of social criticism in the short stories ofAnstin Besar Menggerus Ladang-ladang Kami by Hajriansyah and Hitam Putih Kotaku by Rismiyana. The methodology used m analyzing the short stories is descriptive qualitative by using sociology of literature as the approach of this research. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that there are many social criticism in both short stories as the object of study. Social critics include-criticism of the destruction of nature, criticism of the attitude of art, and criticism of promiscuity.
