ABSTRACTGPR menjadi salah satu metode geofisika yang dimanfaatkan untuk survei arkeologi yang dapat membantu para arkeologis dalam melakukan identifikasi objek benda bawah permukaan tanpa harus melakukan penggalian terlebih dahulu untuk mencari objek benda ndash; benda anomali. GPR memanfaatkan gelombang elektromagnetik EM yang sangat sensitif terhadap material yang bersifat konduktif. Interpretasi data GPR dapat menggambarkan ukuran dan kedalaman dari objek bawah permukaan. Survei di benteng Speelwijk Banten Lama menggunakan frekuensi 600 MHz, frekuensi ini sangat baik digunakan untuk penetrasi dangkal dan resolusi tinggi. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah mencari benda anomali yang terkubur di bawah benteng untuk mendapatkan informasi jejak ndash; jejak bangunan masa lalu dari benteng Speelwijk. Anomali dari data GPR akan menghasilkan reflektor kuat berbentuk hiperbola. Warna reflektor yang terang menandakan bahwa material bawah permukaan memiliki sifat konduktivitas rendah dan warna reflektor yang tidak terang memiliki sifat konduktivitas tinggi. Hasil akhir setelah pengolahan data adalah model 2D objek bawah permukaan.

ABSTRACTGPR is one of the geophysic methods utilized for achaeological surveys which is can assist archaeologists in identifying object of subsurface object without having to excavation to find the anomalies objects. GPR utilizes electromagnetic EM waves which are highly sensitive to conductive materials. Interpretation of GPR data can identify the shapes, sizes and depth of the subsurface object. Survey in the Speelwijk Castle in Banten Lama using a frequency of 600 MHz, this frequency is very well used for shallow penetration and high resolution. The main purpose of this research is to find anomalies object buried under the castle to obtain information on the past traces of the Speelwijk castle. Anomalies from GPR data will produce a strong reflectors with the patterns is a hyperbola. The strong color from reflector indicates the subsurface material properties has a low conductivity, and reflectors with a color that is not too bright has a material properties with high conductivity. The final results after processing data is the 2D model of subsurface.
