ABSTRACTPola konsumsi masyarakat pasca keruntuhan Uni Soviet berubah menjadi lebih konsumtif karena masuknya produk-produk asing yang menawarkan berbagai macam pilihan produk yang belum pernah mereka rasakan pada masa Uni Soviet. Skripsi ini membahas, mengeksplorasi dan memahami perilaku konsumerisme masyarakat pasca-Uni Soviet dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus di negara Federasi Rusia pada tahun 2010 sampai 2016. Guna membahas perubahan pola konsumsi masyarakat pada masa Uni Soviet dan setelahnya, penelitian ini melibatkan teori konsumerisme dan konsep-konsep konsumsi yang berkaitan dengan transisi dan perubahan sistem ekonomi yang dialami masyarakat. Hasil skripsi ini menggambarkan bahwa terdapat faktor objektif dan faktor subjektif yang membentuk pola konsumsi masyarakat untuk menjadi lebih konsumtif. Faktor objektif berasal dari pihak di luar masyarakat yang sifatnya memaksa, sedangkan faktor subjektif berasal dari keinginan masyarakat baik secara individu maupun kelompok.

ABSTRACTThe pattern of public consumption after the collapse of the Soviet Union became more consumptive because of the influx of foreign products offering a wide range of products they had never tasted in the Soviet times. This thesis discusses, explores and understands the behavior of post Soviet society consumerism using case study method in the country of Russian Federation from 2010 to 2016. In order to discuss the changing of society consumption pattern during Soviet period and afterwards, this research involves consumerism theory and concepts of consumption associated with transitions and changes in the economic system experienced by the society. The results of this thesis illustrate that there are objective factors and subjective factors that shape the pattern of public consumption to become more consumptive. The objective factor comes from outside the community that is forced, while the subjective factor comes from the desire of the community both individually and in groups.
