Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh thin capitalization rules terhadap struktur modal perusahaan yang terdaftar di bursa efek Indonesia periode 2012-2017. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 30 perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2012-2017 yang batasan utang dan modalnya dibatasi oleh thin capitalization rules yang ditetapkan pemerintah. Penelitian dengan menggunakan data panel yang diolah dengan aplikasi Eviews dengan fixed effect model. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan pengaruh negatif antara thin capitalization rules dengan struktur modal perusahaan yang menggunakan rasio utang terhadap modal sebagai proksinya.

This study is conducted to determine the effect of thin capitalization rules on the capital structure of companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange period 2012 2017. The sample used is 30 companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange period 2012 2017 whose debt and capital limitations are limited by the thin capitalization rules set by the government. Research by using panel data that is processed by application of Eviews with fixed effect model. Based on the results of the research, found a negative effect between thin capitalization rules with the capital structure of firms that use the ratio of debt to capital as a proxy.
