Skripsi ini menganalisis tentang beban kerja perawat pelaksana di ruang perawatan umum untuk mengevaluasi kebutuhan tenaga perawat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan analisa menggunakan data kuantitatif. Gambaran mengenai beban kerja didapatkan dari hasil pengamatan dengan metode work sampling dan data perhitungan beban kerja digunakan untuk menghitung kebutuhan tenaga dengan metode workload indicator staffing need. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa waktu produktif perawat pelaksana di Ruang Perawatan Umum RS Hermina Depok sebesar 83,13 dan kegiatan perawat terbanyak adalah kegiatan keperawatan tidak langsung. Administrasi menjadi kegiatan keperawatan langsung yang terbanyak. Hasil penghitungan kebutuhan tenaga dengan WISN didapatkan total kebutuhan sebanyak 43 tenaga dan didapatkan rasio WISN sebesar 0,85. Evaluasi terkait tugas yang dapat dilakukan oleh tenaga non keperawatan dan penggunaan sistem informasi perlu dilakukan dan dipertimbangkan oleh pihak manajemen rumah sakit.

This thesis analyzes the workload of nurses in the general care room to evaluate the need for nurses. This research is descriptive research with analysis using quantitative data. The description of workload is obtained from observation with work sampling method and workload calculation data is used to calculate the needs of nurse personnel by workload indicator staffing need method.

The results showed that the productive time of nurses in the General Care Room of Hermina Depok Hospital was 83.13 and the most nurse activity was indirect nursing activity. Administration becomes the most indirect nursing activity.

Result of calculation of personnel requirement with WISN got total requirement counted 43 personnel and got WISN ratio equal to 0,85. Evaluation related tasks that can be performed by non nursing personnel and the use of information systems should be done and considered by the management of the hospital.
