ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas novel Njai Isah karya Sie Lip Lap dan Tjerita Njai Dasima karya G. Francis. Kedua novel ini mengisahkan kehidupan perempuan pribumi yang menjadi gundik orang Eropa atau Tionghoa pada zaman kolonial. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian sastra. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitis. Melalui metode deskriptif analitis terbukti bahwa ada perbedaan terhadap konsep nyai yang ada dalam cerita Njai Isah karya Sie Lip Lap dan Tjerita Njai Dasima karya G. Francis yang dilatarbelakangi oleh sudut pandang pencerita.

ABSTRACTThis thesis analyses the novel Njai Isah by Sie Lip Lap and Tjerita Njai Dasima by G. Francis. Both of these novels tell the story of native women who became mistresses to Europeans and Chinese people in the colonial period. The research is completed using the analytical descriptive method. Using this method, it is proven that there are different concepts of nyai within the story in Njai Isah by Sie Lip Lap and Tjerita Njai Dasima by G. Francis, which are based on writers perspective.
