ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai cryptocurrency yang muncul pada abad ke-21 sebagai bentuk uang dan sistem keuangan baru yang akan dibedah melalui pemikiran F.A Hayek. Tulisan ini akan mengantarkan pembaca pada pemahaman bahwa cryptocurrency merupakan bentuk afirmasi dari konsep denasionalisasi uang F.A Hayek sebagai bentuk kontradiktif dari konsep uang dan sistem keuangan yang sedang berlangsung saat ini. Penelitian ini menolak gagasan terkait uang yang ditarik kedalam konteks kekuasaan negara atau pemerintah sebagai satu-satunya institusi yang berhak menentukan dan melegalisasikan apa itu uang dan bagaimana sistem keuangan dapat bekerja. Sebagai bentuk oposisi dari gagasan tersebut, skripsi ini berupaya mendemonstrasikan ketidakmapanan konsep uang dan sistem keuangan tersebut, melakukan redefinisi, serta menunjukan peran uang yang tidak hanya berperan sebagai medium pertukaran. Upaya ini akan ditempuh melalui pembedahan konsep tatanan spontan sebagai mekanisme dan gagasan yang memahami uang sebagai bagian dari kebebasan individu dan mampu hadir dalam sistem kompetitif sebagai bagian dari sistem ekonomi liberal.

ABSTRACT
This undergraduate thesis discusses cryptocurrency that emerged in the 21st century as a new form of money and a new financial system which is described by F. A Hayek thoughts. This paper will lead the reader to the understand that cryptocurrency is a form of affirmation for the concept of denationalisation of money from F. A Hayek thoughts as a opposition of current concept of money and financial system. This research refutes money related ideas drawn into the context of political power or government involvement as the only institution that has the right to determine and legalize what is money and how the financial system work. As a form of opposition to this idea, this paper attempts to demonstrate the lack of current concepts of money and the financial system, to redefine, and to show the role of money that not only acts as a medium of exchange. This effort will be pursued through the analysis concept of spontaneous order as mechanisms and ideas that understand money as part of individual freedom and able to be present in the competitive system as part of the liberal economic system.
