Analisis perpindahan panas dan massa pada fill menara pendingin = Analysis of heat and mass transfer in cooling tower fill

 Abstract

Setelah 30 tahun dioperasikan, kinerja menara pendingin RSG-GAS mengalami penurunan. Perlu dilakukan pemodelan perpindahan panas dan massa yang terjadi di dalam menara pendingin. Pemodelan perpindahan panas dan massa dilakukan pada bagian fill menara pendingin. Penelitian ini mengkaji perubahan temperatur air dan udara serta rasio kelembaban udara dari sisi masuk sampai sisi keluar fill. Kajian dilakukan dengan pendekatan Kloppers, Klimanek dan Analogi. Hasil perhitungan kemudian dibandingkan dengan data desain menara pendingin. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Kloppers dan Klimanek 39,26 di bawah desain dan pendekatan Analogi 0,9 di atas desain. Pendekatan Analogi memberikan hasil perhitungan paling mendekati data desain.

After 30 years of operation, the performance of RSG GAS cooling towers has decreased. It is necessary the heat and mass transfer modeling that occurs inside the cooling tower. Modeling of heat and mass transfer is done on the cooling tower fill section. This study examines changes in water and air temperature and air humidity ratio from the inlet side to the outlet fill. The study was conducted using Kloppers, Klimanek and Analogical approach. The results are then compared with the cooling tower design data. The results of the analysis show that the Kloppers and Klimanek approach is 39.26 under the design and the Analogical approach is 0.9 above the design. Analogical approach gives the most closed result of the design data.
