Dr. Pieter Everhardus Latumeten, S.H., M.H. Notaris dalam mengkonstantir semua perbuatan, perjanjian, dan ketetapan yang disampaikan oleh para pihak kepadanya dalam pembuatan akta otentik, sering sekali menemukan kendala berupa adanya keterangan palsu yang disampaikan oleh para pihak. Keterangan palsu yang dimaksud adalah keterangan yang dituliskan di dalam akta tersebut yang tidak sesuai dengan keinginan dari para pihak baik yang sengaja maupun yang tidak sengaja. Keterangan palsu bisa berasal dari keterangan yang didapat dari para pihak yang menghadap Notaris atau keterangan yang ditulis oleh pihak notaris itu sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian yuridis normatif, bersifat deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kerangkanya. Jika kesalahan dilakukan secara sengaja oleh pihak penghadap, maka pihak yang merasa dirugikan dapat mengajukan tuntutan berupa ganti rugi atau tindak pidana pemalsuan terhadap pihak yang merugikan tersebut dan pihak Notaris tidak dapat dipersalahkan apabila pihak Notaris dapat membuktikan apabila tidak terlibat dalam kesengajaan tersebut. Kedudukan akta autentik dapat diabatalkan, apabila keterangan daripada pihak tersebut dapat dinyatakan. Kata kunci:Keterangan Palsu, akta otentik, tanggung jawab, notaris

Notary in writing down all actions, agreements and stipulation presented by the parties to him in the drawing up of authentic deed often comes across impediments in the form of false information presented by the parties. What is meant by the false information is an information that is written in the deed that is not in accordance with the wishes of the parties either intentional or accidental. This study is a normative juridical that relies on the principles of the written law. While this type of data used is secondary data in the form of legislation in the form of books relating to the research and resources of the website or document from the Internet to support the interests of research written by the author.
