Dalam praktik arsitektur waktu memberikan dampak yang konstan pada sebuah bangunan yang seringkali dilupakan oleh seorang arsitek. Proses penciptaan sebuah karya diawali dengan sebuah gagasan dan diakhiri oleh sebuah ruang yang terbangun. Bagaimana ruang tersebut berinteraksi terhadap waktu dan perubahan yang terjadi setelahnya. Daur hidup sebuah karya arsitektur sedapatnya berkaca pada daur hidup yang terjadi di alam. Adanya momentum kelahiran yang diikuti oleh proses penuaan yang berujung pada kematian yang diikuti oleh proses dekomposisi. Daur hidup tersebut merupakan sebuah sistem alam yang mampu menjaga keseimbangan alam. Tugas akhir ini berdasar pada gagasan tersebut dalam upaya menyelesaikan masalah kepadatan kota oleh ruang bangun melalui pembahasan potensi proses dekomposisi yang mengeluarkan potensi sebuah material luffa.

In the practice of architecture, time gives a constant amount of impact to a building that is often being forgotten by the architect. The process of creation usually started by an idea and ended with a built environment or a built space but not how the space itself interact with the time changes that happen after. Life cycle of an architecture should be able to mimic the life cycle that happens in nature. Nature has a momentum of birth followed with an aging process that leads to death which still be followed by a decomposition process. Such life cycle is a potent system in nature that is able to maintain balance and sustainability. This graduation project is based of that perspective in the objective to try to solve the suffocicating growth of building that is happening in big cities by redefining and comprehending the potential of a decomposition process leading towards finding the potentials of a luffa sponge in architecture.
