Laporan magang ini membahas prosedur audit atas akun properti investasi PT MLA untuk laporan keuangan yang berakhir pada 31 Desember 2017. Perusahaan ini bergerak pada industri real estat. Pada tahun 2017, perusahaan mengubah kebijakan akuntansi untuk akun properti investasi yang semula menggunakan metode biaya menjadi metode nilai wajar. Berdasarkan PSAK 25 tentang kebijakan akuntansi, perubahan estimasi akuntansi dan kesalahan, mengatur bahwa perubahan kebijakan harus diberlakukan retrospektif sejak tahun dimana perhitungan kembali dapat dilakukan. Risiko lain yang melekat adalah kapitalisasi biaya ke dalam nilai properti investasi yang tidak sesuai dengan kriteria PSAK. Prosedur audit yang dilakukan adalah prosedur audit substantif yaitu pengujian terperinci. Secara umum, prosedur audit yang dijalankan oleh KAP KCSOL adalah telah sesuai dengan standar audit yang disyaratkan dan berdasarkan hasil prosedur audit, laporan keuangan PT MLA telah disajikan secara wajar sesuai pernyataan akuntansi yang berlaku, dimana tidak terdapat salah saji material baik karena fraud maupun error khususnya pada akun properi investasi.

This Internship Report discusses the audit procedures for PT MLA 39;s investment property account of financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2017. The company is engaged in the real estate industry. In 2017, the company changed its accounting policy for investment property account that originally used the cost method to be a fair value method. Based on PSAK 25 : Accounting Policies, Changes In Accounting Estimates and Errors, provides that changes in accounting policies should be applied retrospectively since the year in which recalculation can be determined. Another inherent risk for investment property account is improper capitalization of costs into investment property, that inconsistent with the PSAK criteria. The audit procedure performed is a substantive audit procedure and test of detail. In general, the audit procedures carried out by KAP KCSOL are in accordance with the required audit standards and based on the results of audit procedures, the financial statements of PT MLA have been fairly presented in accordance with the applicable reporting framework, where there is no material misstatement either due to fraud or error, particularly on investment property account.
