ABSTRACTSatellite Image Utilization for Tsunami Detection Tools and Impact Analysis :The Study of Indonesia Impact. Tsunami is one of hazards that is not easily predicted, however, its propagation can be modeled and the damage caused by tsunami can be analyzed. The use of high-resolution satellite data and altimetry satellite data provide an alternative to develop the technology towards disaster management as well as to analyze the vulnerability of coastal areas which are potentially impacted by the tsunami. In the analysis process of potential tsunami prone areas, several types of indices such as ND VI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), NDSI(Normalized Difference Snow Index), and ND WI(Normalized Difference Water Index) can be used. Classification of damage on constructions structure is also measured in order to estimate the victim and the extent of damage caused by the disaster.
