Indonesia menghadapi permasalahan terkait produksi beras setiap tahun. Salah satu penyebab permasalahan tersebut yakni ketidakakuratan data produksi beras di Indonesia. Dampak dari permasalahan tersebut membuat distorsi kebijakan yang merugikan banyak pihak, baik petani, industri maupun konsumen. Berdasarkan data perhitungan terbaru BPS 2018, penelitian ini berupaya mengananalisis permintaan dan penawaran beras di Indonesia. Beberapa variabel yang digunakan yakni penawaran beras, harga beras, luas sawah, luas panen, volume impor beras, upah tenaga kerja, permintaan beras, jumlah penduduk, dan PDB per kapita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel harga beras dan luas panen berpengaruh positif terhadap penawaran beras. Harga beras dipengaruhi oleh jumlah penawaran beras dan HPP beras secara positif. Luas panen dipengaruhi oleh harga beras secara positif. Volume impor beras dipengaruhi nilai tukar Rupiah secara negatif. Permintaan beras dipengaruhi harga beras secara positif.

Indonesia faces problems related to rice production every year. One of the causes of these problems is an inaccuracy of rice production data in Indonesia. The impact of these problems makes policy distortions that causes loss to many parties, are farmers, industry and consumers. Based on the latest BPS 2018 data, this study seeks to analyze demand and supply of rice in Indonesia. Some variables are rice supply, rice price, rice field area, harvest area, rice import volume, labor wages, rice demand, population, and GDP per capita. The results showed that the variable price of rice and harvest area had a positive effect on rice supply. The price of rice is influenced by supply of rice and HPP positively. The area of rice fields is influenced by price of rice positively. The volume of rice imports is negatively affected by the Rupiah's exchange rate. The demand for rice is positively influenced by rice prices.
