ABSTRACT
Kabupaten Kebumen merupakan wilayah yang mengalami kekeringan terparah kedua di seluruh Jawa Tengah pada tahun 2015. Berdasarkan nilai Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) pada tahun 2015 terjadi fenomena El Nino yang mengakibatkan berkurangnya curah hujan di Indonesia tanpa terkecuali Kabupaten Kebumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan El Nino dengan kekeringan meteorologis di Kabupaten Kebumen dan kaitannya dengan kondisi fisik wilayah Kabupaten Kebumen. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai SOI dari Australian Bureau of Meteology dan data curah hujan bulanan yang di peroleh dari stasiun pengamat curah hujan di Kabupaten Kebumen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kuantitatif regresi linier dan formula Standardized Preciptation Index (SPI). Analisis spasial temporal juga digunakan untuk menjelaskan pola kekeringan wilayah Kabupaten Kebumen. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pola kekeringan yang terbentuk di Kabupaten Kebumen pada tahun 2015 berkaitan dengan kondisi fisik wilayah. Pola kekeringan pada bulan Maret berkaitan dengan wilayah ketinggian, pola kekeringan bulan April dan Agustus berkaitan dengan arah angin, dan pola kekeringan bulan Mei berkaitan dengan arah hadapan lereng.El Nino yang diwakili oleh nilai SOI memiliki hubungan positif terhadap kekeringan yang diwakili oleh SPI. Nilai korelasi terkuat adalah 0,60 di Tersobo dan terendah 0,42 di Stasiun Ayah.
ABSTRACT
Kebumen Regency is the second worst drought region of Central Java in 2015. Based on the value of the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) in 2015 El Nino phenomena resulted in reduced rainfall in Indonesia,like Kebumen Regency. This study aims to analyze the El Nino relationship with meteorological drought in Kebumen Regency and its relation to the physical condition of the Kebumen Regency. The data is used the SOI derived from Australian Bureau of Meteorology and the monthly rainfall data obtained from 30 rainfall observation stations in Kebumen Regency. Metodologyis used quantitative analysis of linear regression and the Standardized Preciptation Index (SPI) formula. Temporal spatial analysis is also used to explain the pattern of drought in Kebumen Regency. The results isthe pattern of drought in March is related to altitude, the patterns of drought in April and August are related to wind direction, and the pattern of drought in May is related to the direction of the slope.El Nino represented by the SOI value has a positive relationship to the drought represented by SPI. The strongest correlation value is 0.60 at Tersobo and the lowest is 0.42 at Ayah Station. The drought pattern that was formed in Kebumen Regency in 2015 was related to the physical condition of the region.
