 Abstract

ABSTRAK
Skripsi ini membahas mengenai perhitungan getaran bebas pada balok komposit menggunakan metode elemen UI-Beam dan menunjukkan performa elemen UI-Beam pada perhitungan tersebut. Persamaan getaran bebas diselesaikan dengan metode Iterasi Sub-Ruang untuk mendapatkan nilai frekuensi alami dan mode getar struktur. Komputasi numerik dilakukan menggunakan program FEAP versi 8.5. Sebelum melakukan komputasi, program FEAP dimodifikasi terlebih dahulu untuk memasukkan elemen UI-Beam dan kondisi dependent degree of freedom (DDOF) ke dalam program. Hasil dari pengujian pada beberapa kasus getaran bebas menunjukkan bahwa elemen UI-Beam dapat menghasilkan konvergensi yang baik mulai dari jumlah elemen sebanyak satu buah.

ABSTRACT
This essay discusses the calculation of free vibration on composite beams using the UI-Beam element method and shows the performance of UI-Beam elements in the calculation. Free vibration equations solved by using Subspace Iteration method to get the natural frequency value and structure mode shape. Numerical computation is done using the FEAP version 8.5 program. Before computing, FEAP is modified to include the UI-Beam element and the dependent degree of freedom (DDOF) condition into the program. The results of testing in several cases of free vibration indicate that the UI-Beam element can produce good convergence starting from the number of elements as much as one element.
