Pasangan yang menikah antarbudaya rentan untuk mengalami konflik yang berasal dari perbedaan budaya. Konflik yang sering dan berkepanjangan dapat menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif, salah satunya penurunan tingkat kepuasan pernikahan. Common dyadic coping adalah upaya pasangan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang mereka hadapi bersama-sama. Sebanyak 45 pasang suami dan istri (M usia pernikahan=19,44, SD=8,69) yang berasal dari suku yang berbeda dan berdomisili di Jabodetabek, Bandung, dan Pekanbaru diminta untuk menjawab item dari Dyadic Coping Inventory (DCI) dan Couple Satisfaction Index-16 (CSI-16). Penelitian menggunakan Actor-Partner Interdependence Model dan data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan APIM_SEM. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa skor Common Dyadic Coping memiliki interdependensi dengan skor Common Dyadic Coping pasangannya. Common Dyadic Coping yang dilaporkan oleh individu memengaruhi kepuasan pernikahan individu secara positif (p istri<0,001, p suami=0,025) namun tidak memengaruhi kepuasan pernikahan pasangannya
Couples that marry interculturally are prone to have conflicts that stemmed from their cultural differences. Frequent and long-lasting conflict may cause various negative effects, such as decreasing marital satisfaction. Common Dyadic Coping is a joint effort to solve their problems together. Forty-five pairs of husband and wife (M marriage duration=19,44, SD=8,69) that come from different ethnic groups and currently lives in Jabodetabek, Bandung, and Pekanbaru were asked to answer a series of items from Dyadic Coping Inventory (DCI) and Couple Satisfaction Index-16 (CSI-16). This study uses Actor-Partner Interdependence Model and the data that was collected is analyzed using APIM_SEM. The results shows that individual’s report of Common Dyadic Coping has interdependency with their partner’s Common Dyadic Coping. One’s report of Common Dyadic Coping has a positive effect on their own marital satisfaction (p wives<0,001, p husbands=0,025), but had no effect on their partner’s marital satisfaction.
