Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dan desain eksperimental yang bertujuan untuk menguji peran dehumanisasi terhadap pengaruh justifikasi moral terhadap dukungan kebijakan pendekatan keras. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian antar subjek posttest saja. DV penelitian ini merupakan dukungan untuk pendekatan keamanan (hard approach). IV (pembenaran moral) dimanipulasi menggunakan indusi teks. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan teks yang berisi pembenaran moral, sedangkan kelompok kontrol akan diberikan teks netral yaitu berita tentang sepak bola. Moderator dalam penelitian ini adalah dehumanisasi. Sebanyak 91 peserta direkrut melalui media sosial Line. Pembagian kelompok dalam eksperimen kali ini gagal membuktikan adanya pengaruh antara justifikasi moral dan dukungan terhadap pendekatan keamanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dehumanisasi tidak berinteraksi dengan justifikasi moral untuk mendukung pendekatan keamanan.

This research is a type of quantitative research and experimental design which aims to examine the role of dehumanization on the effect of moral justification on hard-approach policy support. The design of this study was a posttest inter-subject study only. The DV of this research is a support for the security approach (hard approach). IV (moral justification) is manipulated using text indusion. The experimental group was given a text containing moral justification, while the control group was given a neutral text, namely news about football. The moderator in this research is dehumanization. A total of 91 participants were recruited through the social media Line. The division of groups in this experiment failed to prove the existence of an influence between moral justification and support for the security approach. The results showed that dehumanization did not interact with moral justification to support a security approach.
