Tesis ini membahas tentang etika pemasangan papan nama notaris ditinjau dari kode etik Ikatan Notaris Indonesia. Permasalahan yang di bahas dalam tesis ini adalah etika pemasangan papan nama Notaris yang seharusnya dilakukan di Indonesia dan praktik pengawasan dan penindakan terhadap pemasangan papan nama Notaris yang melanggar etika. Notaris yang bekerja profesional harus mematuhi etika profesi yang dituangkan dalam Undang-undang Jabatan Notaris dan Kode Etik Notaris. Notaris memiliki larangan yang diatur dalam Kode Etik Ikatan Notaris Indonesia. Dalam tesis ini, Notaris melanggar kode etik notaris yaitu mengenai pemasangan papan nama yang tidak sesuai dengan aturan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yuridis normatif dengan tipe penelitian deskriptif analitis dan dianalisa dengan metode kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah beberapa Notaris yang melanggar papan nama . Papan nama yang tidak sesuai dengan aturan Kode Etik Notaris yang berhak menegakan pelanggaran kode etik adalah Dewan Kehormatan yaitu terdiri dari Dewan Kehormatan Daerah, Dewan Kehormatan Wilayah, Dewan Kehormatan Pusat. Notaris yang melanggar kode etik akan dikenakan sanksi sesuai dengan yang sudah ditentukan berdasarnya beratnya pelanggaran. Diketahui bahwa peraturan mengenai papan nama masih kurang lengkap dan jelas dan peran Dewan Kehormatan yang mengutamakan pelaporan dari pihak yang merasa dirugikan oleh itu.

This thesis mainly discuss the notary name placement on a signboard reviewed from the notary code of ethics by Ikatan Notaris Indonesia. Problem that included in this thesis is that the notary code of ethics in regards to name placement on a signboard that should ve been done in Indonesia and the practice of supervision and prosecution upon the placement of notary name placement on a signboard that violating ethics. Notary that work professionally must obey the ethics of profession that stated in the Notary Position Act and Notary Code of Ethics. Notary has a regulated prohibition stipulated in the notary code of ethics. In this thesis, notary violate the notary code of ethics namely as to name placement on a signboard that are not in accordance to the rule. This research was normative juridicial research with descriptice analytical research and this research are analyzed using qualitative method. The results of this research is a few of notary that violating the signboard. Signboard that is not in accordance with the rules of notary code of ethics are entitled to be enforced upon violating code of ethics by honorary council consisting of district honorary council, regional honorary council, central honorary council. Notary that violate the code of ethics, will be sanctioned according to what has been determined based on the severity of the violation. It is known thay rules regarding the name placement on a signboard is still incomplete and unclear and the role of honorary council that prioritize reports from the parties whove being harmed by it.
