ABSTRAK Banua Botanical Gardens has been developed from ex traditional diamond mining area in Banjar Baru South Kalimantan. The gardens occupied 100 ha barrend areas as a result of no proper after mining recovery treatment. A chance to develop the gardens was challenging when vegetation was hardly grow and have flat landscape topography. Even so it provide easier supervision in terms of resource management. A theme garden named "Banua Labyrint" was constructed in 2015 marking the establishment of Banua Botanical Gardens.
