ABSTRAKThis study aims to determine the relationship between mobility and orientation skills and achievement motivation in blind people in the Social Institution Bina Netra Yogyakarta. The hypothesis of this study is there is a positive relationship between mobility and orientation skills and achievement motivation in blind people. The subjects were 20 students in grade 3 were studied in Social Institution Bina Netra Yogyakarta. The research data were revealed by documentation of mobility and orientation skills and Achievement Motivavtion scale. From the data analysis using Pearson product moment correlation result a coefficient of 0.764 with p: 0.000 (p 0.01). Results of the data analysis means that hypotheses are accepted, which means that there is a positive relationship between mobility and orientation skills and achievement motivation in blind people. The higher the orientation and mobility skills, the higher the archievement motivation. Orientation and mobility skills contributes to achievement motivation amounted to 58.4 percent, which means that the remaining balance of 41.6 percent achievement motivation is determined by other factors.
