ABSTRAKArtikel ini menyajikan pembacaan kritis dari segi penataan waktu cerita dalam tingkat naratif pada Lolita (1955) karya Vladimir Nabokov dengan teori naratologi Gerard Genette sebagai salah satu pendekatan kritik sastra strukturalis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan alur cerita dan penataanya dalam naratif, teknik naratif serta efek naratif yang ditimbulkannya, dan posisi temporal narator terhadap cerita yang sedang dinarasikan. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk menginterpretasi data dan fakta yang ditemukan dari objek penelitian, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa alur cerita dalam Lolita dikisahkan dalam kerangka analepsis dengan akroni yang menjadikan struktur naratifnya kompleks. Lebih lanjut, akroni berperan besar dalam penundaan signifikansi peristiwa tertentu yang menciptakan efek naratif yang signifikanmembuat esensi novel terutama tercipta atas interaksi naratif awal dan naratif kemudian dari narator dalam Lolita.

This article presents a critical reading in terms of the order of the story with respect to the narrative level on Lolita (1955) by Vladimir Nabokov with Gerard Genettes narratology as one of the structuralist approaches to literary criticism. The research aims to explain the plot and its order in narrative, the narrative techniques and how it creates its narrative effects, and the narrators temporal position to the story being narrated. Utilizing descriptive methods to interpret data and facts found from the object of the research, this study reveals that the plot in Lolita is told in the framework of analepsis with achrony that composes its complex narrative structure. Furthermore, achrony plays a major role in delaying the significance of certain events that creates significant narrative effects in Lolita-making the essence of the novel especially created by the interaction of the initial narrative and the later narrative of the narrator in Lolita
