This article discusses face threatening act (FTA) performed by KBJ VI participants. The FTA is a less tolerance utterance that makes a speaking partner feels ashamed and displeased so that it may annoy harmony and friendship. There are three research questions 1) what kind of speech act which tends to threat face as used by KBJ VI participants, 2) how far is the level of politeness of an uttereance containing FTA, and 3) how the speaking partner responds the FTA speech act. The data sources were any speeches or utterances who were officially delivered by the selected samples in the KBJ agenda. These speeches and utterances were recorded then they were categorized, and finally selected in accordance with the purpose of the research. The results of the research show that basically FTAs are not in accordance with the Javanese politeness where one should always make other people happy the basis of solidarity making.
