Penelitian ini membahas kelengkapan unsur argumen dalam Debat Cawapres Pilpres 2019, terhadap kalimat-kalimat argumentasi yang diujarkan calon wakil presiden nomor urut 01, Makruf Amin, dan calon wakil presiden nomor urut dua, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno. Penelitian ini mengkaji kecenderungan argumen kedua cawapres tersebut berdasarkan kelengkapan unsur argumen. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui kecenderungan argumentasi yang diujarkan oleh kedua cawapres menggunakan Teori Argumentasi Stephen Toulmin (1979) sebagai kerangka referensi untuk menentukan indikator dalam analisis kelengkapan unsur argumen. Berdasarkan 6 unsur argumen dalam wacana argumentatif yang ditemukan oleh Toulmin, terdapat 3 unsur argumen yang wajib hadir dalam wacana argumentatif, yaitu claim, ground, dan warrant. Pada data Debat Cawapres Pilpres 2019 dianalisis apakah argumentasi yang dilancarkan oleh kedua cawapres menghadirkan ketiga unsur argumen wajib itu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Sumber data yang ditranskipsi berasal dari video yang terdapat di YouTube. Video tersebut diunggah oleh Channel Resmi Kompas TV pada 17 Maret 2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Sandiaga Uno paling banyak mengucapkan kalimat yang hanya merupakan claim saja, sebanyak 16 kali, sedangkan Makruf Amin sebanyak 9 kali. Berdasarkan kelengkapan struktur argumen Toulmin, Makruf Amin adalah yang paling lengkap memenuhi semua klasifikasi. Sementara itu, Sandiaga Uno paling banyak mengutarakan kalimat yang merupakan claim.

This study discusses the completeness of the argument elements in the 2019 Presidential Election Debate Debate, against the sentences of the arguments that are spoken by vice presidential candidate number 01, Makruf Amin, and vice presidential candidate number two, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno. This study examines the tendency of the two vice presidential arguments based on the completeness of the argument elements. The purpose of this study is to determine the tendency of the arguments put forward by the two running mates using Stephen Toulmin`s Argumentation Theory (1979) as a reference frame for determining indicators in the analysis of the completeness of the argument element. Based on the 6 elements of argument in argumentative discourse found by Toulmin, there are 3 elements of argument that must be present in argumentative discourse, namely claim, ground, and warrant. In the 2019 Presidential Election Debate Debate data it is analyzed whether the arguments made by the two vice presidents present the three elements of compulsory arguments. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The source of the transcribed data comes from videos found on YouTube. The video was uploaded by the Kompas TV Official Channel on March 17, 2019. The results showed that Sandiaga Uno said the most sentences which were only claims, as many as 16 times, while Makruf Amin was 9 times. Based on the complete structure of Toulmin`s argument, Makruf Amin is the most complete fulfilling all classifications. Meanwhile, Sandiaga Uno said the most claims.
