ABSTRAK
Alam memiliki beberapa sistem yang mengatur cara kerja dan interaksikomponen-komponen di dalamnya. Dalam sistem tersebut, wajar apabila terdapat komponen yang mengalami fase kelangkaan maupun fase berkelimpahan. Untuk mengatasinya, sistem tersebut beserta komponen di dalamnya haruslah bisa beradaptasi agar menciptakan sistem yang stabil dan berkelanjutan. Ketiga kata kunci (adaptasi,stabilitas, dan berkelanjutan) tersebut menjadi salah satu dasar yang dibutuhkan bagi teknologi, khususnya arsitektur untuk mampu merespons perubahan situasi dan kondisi yang sangat cepat. Di tahun 2020, dunia mengalami pandemi Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov-2 atau Covid-19). Perubahan yang berlangsung sangat cepat ini menjadi ujian bagi teknologi yang diciptakan manusia untuk menjaga kesehatan dan keselamatan manusia. 2033: New Normal menjadi salah satu eksperimen pikiran untuk mencoba melihat bagaimana arsitektur yang selama ini dianggap `kaku` bagi orang awam, mampu merespons perubahan dengan adaptasi teknologi. Dimana ada aksi, akan ada reaksi. Hasilnya, arsitektur yang mampu beradaptasi ini adalah sebuah aksi, dan reaksi yang terjadi adalah keseharian manusia yang menjadi `kaku`, tidak bebas.

ABSTRACT
Nature has several systems that control the scheme and interactions between the components inside. In the system, it is natural that there are components that experience a phase of scarcity and abundance. To overcome this, the system must be able to adapt to create a stable and sustained system. These three keywords (adaptation, stability, andsustainability) become the foundation needed for technology, especially architecture, to be able to respond to rapid changes. By 2020, the world is experiencing a pandemic of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov-2 or Covid-19). This rapid change is a test for the technology that humans created to prioritize human health and safety. 2033: New Normal is a thought experiment made to test architecture that has been considered `inflexible` by ordinary people, able to respond to rapid changes with adaptation of technology. Where there is action, there is reaction. The results, the action is the architecture that adaptive on rapid changes and the reaction that occurs is the daily life of people who become inflexible.
