 Abstract

ABSTRAK
Setelah terjadinya gempa yang menyebabkan kerusakan pada sambungan (Northridge earthquake), konsep strong colomn-weak beam ini menjadi pusat perhatian para peneliti di dunia. Seperti yang diketahui bahwa Indonesia merupakan Negara yang rawan gempa, hal ini disebabkan letak Indonesia yang berada di antara lempeng Australia, lempeng Eurasia dan lempeng pasifik. Selain itu, juga Indonesia termasuk dalam cincin api pasifik, yang tidak lain gugusan gunung berapi di dunia. Karena salah satu penyebab gempa adalah akibat Gempa melepaskan energi yang dilepaskan ke kulit bumi. Disipasi energi yang dilepaskan ini akan diterima di bangunan. Oleh sebab itu, konsep strong colomn-weak beam merupakan konsep yang mengharapkan sendi plastis terjadi pada balok dan tidak terjadi pada sambungan. Kegagalan pada sambungan sendiri sulit diprediksi sehingga diusahakan untuk dihindari. Maka, oleh sebab itu, muncul teori mengenai reduced beam section (RBS) dimana pada RBS ini sayap balok mengalami perlemahan sehingga sendi plastis diharapkan terjadi pada area tersebut. Belum adanya penelitian mengenai bangunan SRPMK dengan RBS diberikan pembebanan sinusoidal menjadi salah satu latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini, sehingga pada penelitian dilakukan uji eksperimental dengan memberikan beban sinusoidal pada struktur untuk melihat respon strukturnya.

ABSTRACT
After the earthquake that caused damage to the connection (Northridge earthquake), the concept of the strong column-weak beam became the center of attention of researchers in the world. As it is known that Indonesia is an earthquake prone country, this is due to the location of Indonesia which is located between the Australian plate, the Eurasian plate and the Pacific plate. Besides that, Indonesia is also included in the Pacific ring of fire, which is no other than a group of volcanoes in the world. Because one of the causes of the earthquake was due to the Earthquake releasing energy released into the earth's skin. Dissipation of the energy released will be accepted in the building. Therefore, the concept of strong colomn-weak beam is a concept that expects plastic hinge to occur in beams and does not occur in joints. Failure on the connection itself is difficult to predict so it is tried to be avoided. Therefore, the theory arises about the reduced beam section (RBS) where in this RBS the beam flange is weakened so that plastic hinge are expected to occur in that area. The absence of research on the building of SRPMK with RBS given sinusoidal loading is one of the background of this research, so the experimental research was conducted by giving sinusoidal load on the structure to see the structural response.
