Dewasa ini, terdapat banyak media yang dapat digunakan penggemar untuk memperoleh informasi, berpartisipasi, dan berinteraksi dengan idolanya. Hal itu membuat penggemar menjadi terobsesi dengan kehidupan idola. Dalam psikologi, obsesi penggemar pada kehidupan idola dikenal dengan istilah celebrity worship. Fenomena celebrity worship dapat dilihat dalam salah satu drama Korea yang berjudul Geunyeoeui Sasaenghwal. Dengan menggunakan teori representasi dan definisi konsep celebrity worship oleh McCutcheon, penelitian ini berfokus pada penggambaran celebrity worship yang ditunjukkan oleh Deok-Mi, tokoh utama dalam drama tersebut. Penelitian yang menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perilaku dan dampak celebrity worship yang digambarkan oleh Deok-Mi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi celebrity worship yang terdapat dalam drama Geunyeoeui Sasaenghwal dapat dilihat melalui perilaku yang ditunjukkan oleh Deok-Mi. Perilaku yang ditunjukkan oleh Deok-Mi, antara lain mencari informasi idola, membeli merchandise idola, menonton acara yang menampilkan idola, dan melakukan hal yang tidak biasa demi bertemu dengan idola. Sementara itu, dampak dari perilaku celebrity worship yang ditunjukkan Deok-Mi adalah mementingkan idola daripada diri sendiri dan memiliki cara menangani stress yang baik. Melalui penelitian ini, penulis juga menemukan bahwa Deok-mi menggambarkan sosok penggemar yang dapat menyeimbangkan kehidupannya sebagai pekerja dan penggemar. Currently, many media can be used by fans to get some information, participate, and interact with their idols. It makes the fans obsessed with their idols lives. In psychology, the obsession of the fans towards their idols can be called celebrity worship. The phenomenon of celebrity worship can be seen in one of the Korean drama entitled Geunyeoeui Sasaenghwal. By using representation theory and the definition of celebrity worship concept by McCutcheon, this research focused on the illustration of celebrity worship behavior which was performed by Deok-Mi, the main character in that drama. This research used a descriptive analysis method that aimed to identify the celebrity worship behaviors and the effect which were performed by Deok-Mi. The result of this research showed that the representation of celebrity worship in  Geunyeoeui Sasaenghwal drama can be seen through the behavior performed by Deok-Mi. Deok-Mi represented some celebrity worship behavior such as searching information about the idol, buying idols merchandise, watching shows that showed idol, and doing unusual thing to meet idol. The negative effect of that behavior is giving priority to idol rather than herself and the positive effect is having a good way to handle stress. Through this research, the authors found that Deok-Mi portrays a fan figure who can balance her life as a worker and a fan.
