ABSTRAKKelelahan operator alat berat masih menjadi masalah di berbagai negara, didukung dengan hasil prasurvey pada 4 Maret 2020 di PT.X menunjukkan bahwa 3 dari 3 operator alat berat mengeluhkan kelelahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelelehan dan hubungan faktor karakteristik individu dan faktor pekerjaan dengan kelelahan operator alat berat bongkar muat Terminal Y di PT.X Tahun 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian potong lintang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling sebanyak 60 orang dan sebanyak 52 orang yang mengisi kuesioner secara lengkap. Variabel yang diteliti di antaranya faktor karakteristik individu (usia, IMT, kuantitas tidur, waktu perjalanan, status perkawinan) dan faktor pekerjaan (masa kerja, shift, dan waktu istirahat) yang diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC). Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan Fisher Exact menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara IMT (P value= 0.015), waktu perjalanan (P value=0.022 ) dan kelelahan kerja operator. Sebesar (90.4%) operator alat berat mengalami kelelahan ringan dan (9.6%) mengalami kelelahan sedang. Sehingga perlu dilakukan pelatihan mengenai fatigue management untuk menurunkan risiko kelelahan operator alat berat.
ABSTRACTHeavy equipment operator fatigue is still a problem in many countries, supported by the survey on March 4th at PT.X showing that 3 out of 3 heavy equipment operators complained of fatigue. This study aims to detemine the level of fatigue and the relationship between individual characteristic factors and work factors with fatigue of loading and unloading heavy equipment operator at Terminal Y PT.X 2020. It is a quantitative research with cross sectional design. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 60 operator and 52 operators filled the questionaire in full. The variables studied were individual characteristic factors (age, BMI, sleep quantity, commuting time, and marital status) and work factors (years of service, shift work, and rest periods) which were measured using the Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC) questionaire. Fisher Exact analysis showed, there was a relationship between BMI (P value=0.015), commuting time (P value=0.022) and operators fatigue. More than ninety persen (90.4%) heavy equipment operators experienced mild fatigue and 9.6% experienced moderate fatigue. So, fatigue management training is needed to reduce the risk of heavy equipment operator fatigue.
