Studi Literatur ini membahas tentang faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pelaksanaan preoperative teaching kepada pasien ataupun keluarga. Penelitian studi literatur ini menggunakan metode PICO (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome). Database yang digunakan meliputi EBSCO (CINAHL), ProQuest, dan Science Direct dengan hasil akhir yang didapat berjumlah 11 literatur yang menggunakan metode studi cross-sectional dan cohort. Hasil dari 5 literatur penelitian merekomendasikan bahwa waktu edukasi preoperasi perlu diperlama atau dapat dimulai sejak rawat jalan apabila pasien adalah pasien elektif operasi; penugasan beban kerja dari 4 literatur juga pada tenaga kesehatan untuk edukasi preoperasi seharusnya disesuaikan dengan kompetensi sehingga informasi yang disampaikan sesuai kebutuhan pasien; dan pengetahuan dari 3 literatur yang berpengaruh terhadap prosesnya preoperative teaching yang dimana dalam segi pemahaman yang dapat mudah diterima apabila tingkat pendidikan yang dimiliki pasien dan jenjang pengalaman perawat yang lama.

This Literature Review discusses the factors that influence the implementation of preoperative teaching for patients or families. This literature review uses the PICO method (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Results). The database used includes EBSCO (CINAHL), ProQuest, and Science Direct with the final results obtained by collecting 11 literature using cross-sectional and cohort study methods. Research results that preoperative teaching time from 5 literatures recommended to be prolonged or can be started since the patient's outpatient is approved for elective surgery patients; assignments of workload from 4 literatures too to health care for pre-assigned education are adjusted according to competence so that the information delivered is appropriate to the patient's needs; and knowledge from 3 literatures that discuss the process of preoperative teaching which in terms of understanding can easily be accepted by the level of education required by the patient and the level of experience of long nurses.
