Seorang apoteker memegang peranan penting di industri farmasi, apotek dan pedagang besar farmasi. Apoteker harus memenuhi standar kompetensi sebagai persyaratan untuk memasuki dunia kerja dan menjalani praktik profesi. Standar kompetensi apoteker Indonesia terdiri dari sepuluh standar kompetensi sebagai kemampuan yang diharapkan oleh apoteker saat lulus dan masuk ke tempat praktik kerja profesi. Sebagai bekal dan pengalaman calon apoteker untuk dapat memahami peran apoteker dan meningkatkan kompetensi, maka dilaksanakan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk., Apotek Kimia Farma No. 49 Pondok Bambu dan PT Mahakam Beta Farma selama periode bulan Februari-Juli 2020. Selama PKPA, diharapkan calon apoteker dapat memperluas wawasan, pemahaman dan pengalaman untuk melakukan pekerjaan kefarmasian di tempat praktik kerja profesi.

A pharmacist plays an important role in the pharmaceutical industries, pharmacies and pharmaceutical distributors. Pharmacists must meet competency standards as requirements for entering the world of work and undergoing professional practice. Indonesian pharmacist competency standards consist of ten competency standards as the abilities expected by pharmacists when they graduate and enter professional work practices. As a provision and experience for prospective pharmacists to be able to understand the role of pharmacists and improve competence, the pharmacist professional work practice was carried out at PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk., Apotek Kimia Farma No. 49 Pondok Bambu and PT Mahakam Beta Farma in February-July 2020. During the pharmacist professional work practice, it is hoped that prospective pharmacists can broaden their horizons, understanding and experience to do pharmaceutical work in professional work practices.
