Kota Depok merupakan wilayah padat penduduk dengan tingkat penggunaan air tanah tinggi. Risiko pencemaran air tanah lebih rentan pada wilayah padat yang memiliki sistem penampungan tinja setempat berdekatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan melihat hubungan pencemaran dari sistem sanitasi setempat terhadap kualitas air tanah. Sebelum menentukan titik sampling, dilakukan wawancara ke 40 rumah sebagai preliminary assessment. Berdasarkan hasil survei, dipilih 8 rumah sebagai titik sampling kemudian diuji terhadap 6 parameter yakni pH, TDS, nitrat, klorida, BOD dan E.coli. Hasil uji menunjukkan rata-rata sampel air tanah memiliki nilai pH sebesar 6,2; TDS 179,5 ppm; nitrat 1,35 mg/l; klorida 23,75 mg/l; BOD 1 mg/l; dan E.coli 807,13 MPN/100 ml. Masih ditemukan nilai rata-rata E.coli pada air tanah yang berada di atas baku mutu Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan No. 32 Tahun 2017 untuk keperluan higiene dan sanitasi. Untuk menganalisis hubungan efluen dari sanitasi setempat terhadap kualitas air tanah, dianalisis korelasi hasil uji efluen penampungan tinja terhadap kualitas air tanah pada rumah sampel. Terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara kedua variabel pada parameter pH (p<0,05; r:0,712). Karakteristik hidrogeologi dapat meningkatkan laju infiltrasi kontaminan dari penampungan tinja terhadap air tanah. Berdasarkan hasil uji laboratorium, diketahui lokasi penelitian memiliki tanah lanau yang permeabel. Dilakukan juga analisis korelasi kualitas air tanah terhadap jaraknya ke penampungan tinja terdekat. Berdasarkan hasil uji diketahui bahwa semakin besar jarak penampungan tinja terhadap sumur air maka nilai uji parameter TDS (p<0,05; r:-0,701) pada air tanah akan semakin kecil.

Depok is a highly populated city with high uses of groundwater. The risk of groundwater contamination is higher in a high-density area that uses on-site sanitation in closer proximity. This research aims to see the relationship between groundwater contamination and the use of on-site sanitation. Before choosing the sample points, 40 households are interviewed as a part of the preliminary assessment. Based on the survey result, eight households are chosen as the sample points and the samples are then analyzed for six parameters: pH, TDS, nitrate, chloride, BOD, and E.coli. The result shows that the average groundwater samples quality has 6.2 pH; TDS 179.5 ppm; nitrate 1.35 mg/l; chloride 23.75 mg/l; BOD 1 mg/l; and E.coli 801.13 MPN/100 ml. The average value of E.coli on the groundwater shows to be higher than the Minister of Health Regulation Number 32 of 2017 for hygiene and sanitation water. To further analyze the relationship of on-site sanitation effluent with groundwater quality, the correlation between the two variables are analyzed. There is a significant correlation between the effluent and the groundwater quality on pH (p<0.05; r: 0.712) parameter. The hydrogeological condition can increase the infiltration of effluent contaminants into groundwater. Based on the soil laboratory test, the research area is known to have permeable silty soil. Correlation analyses are also done between the groundwater quality and its distance to the nearest on-site sanitation treatment. The eight samples show that the greater the distance between the well and the onsite sanitation, the smaller the TDS parameter (p<0.05; r: -0.701) on the groundwater.
