Kontribusi UMKM terhadap inovasi telah meningkat dalam beberapa dekade terakhir berkat adaptasi terhadap perubahan inovasi yang terjadi pada sektor perekonomian. Inovasi di sektor usaha pun tidak lagi terbatas pada proses penelitian dan pengembangan saja melainkan juga terwujud sebagai hasil dari upaya kolaboratif di mana para pelaku usaha berinteraksi serta bertukar informasi mengenai inovasi dengan mitra usaha lainnya. UMKM yang inovatif menjadi salah satu potensi unggul bagi perekonomian nasional. Namun, di tengah pertumbuhan UMKM yang inovatif tersebut muncul adanya potensi pembajakan dan plagiasi ide yang membutuhkan proteksi berupa perlindungan kekayaan intelektual (KI). UMKM berbasis KI juga tengah menjadi visi strategis pemerintah Indonesia. Sehingga dalam implementasinya diperlukan partisipasi pelaku UMKM untuk turut melindungi KI atas usahanya dengan melakukan pendaftaran KI. Guna mengidentifikasi tingkat partisipasi pelaku UMKM tersebut, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi partisipasi menjadi aspek penting yang perlu diukur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat partisipasi pelaku UMKM dalam perlindungan Kekayaan Intelektual serta faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakangi tingkat partisipasi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, wawancara mandala, dan studi pustaka. Teknik pengambilan sampel untuk survei dan wawancara adalah purposive sampling, Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 98 orang yang didapatkan melalui kuesioner daring. Data yang diperoleh diolah menggunakan SPSS 25 melalui analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi pelaku UMKM di kota Depok dalam perlindungan Kekayaan Intelektual sudah tinggi jika diukur dengan CLEAR Model of Participation

The contribution of MSMEs to innovation has increased in the last few decades because of change adaptation that occur in the economic sector. Innovation in the business sector is no longer limited to the research and development process, but its also realized as a result of collaborative efforts in which business actors interact and exchange information about innovation with other business partners. Innovative MSMEs are one of the superior potentials for the national economy. However, in the midst of the growth of innovative MSMEs, there is a potential for piracy and plagiarism of ideas that require protection in the form of intellectual property (IP) protection. IP-based MSMEs are also the strategic vision of the Indonesian government. So that in its implementation, the participation of MSME actors is needed to help protect IP for their business by registering IP. In order to identify the level of participation of MSME actors, the factors that influence participation are important aspects that need to be measured. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of participation of MSME actors in the protection of Intellectual Property and the factors behind this level of participation. This research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods, in depth interviews, and literature studies. The sampling technique for surveys and interviews was purposive sampling. The number of respondents in this study was 98 people who were obtained through online questionnaires. The data obtained were processed using SPSS 25 through descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that the level of participation of MSME actors in Depok city to protect their Intellectual Property is already high when measured by the CLEAR Model of Participation.
