Trend bimbel merupakan fenomena yang terjadi di kalangan peserta didik di Kota Yogyakarta. Tidak mengikuti kegiatan bimbel adalah hal yang tidak benar menurut peserta didik di Kota Yogyakarta. Kegiatan bimbel yang dianggap perlu diikuti adalah persiapan ujian masuk perguruan tinggi negeri (PTN) seperti ujian mandiri dan UTBK. Jumlah demand yang tinggi menyebabkan pelaku ekonomi di bidang pendidikan mendirikan bimbel di berbagai wilayah termasuk Kota Yogyakarta. Variasi lokasi bimbel di Kota Yogyakarta dapat dilihat dari faktor geografis dan non-geografis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh karakteristik lokasi terhadap kesuksesan bimbel di Kota Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah keruangan dan uji korelasi. Metode keruangan digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik lokasi bimbel. Karakteristik lokasi bimbel diidentifikasi dengan site and situation. Sementara itu, uji korelasi yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi spearman. Variabel yang diuji korelasinya adalah karakteristik lokasi dan kesuksesan peserta bimbel. Kesuksesan peserta bimbel diukur dengan persentase kelulusan setiap lokasi bimbel dan rasio peserta bimbel yang masuk PTN unggulan. Data primer penelitian ini berupa aspek site and situation, faktor yang memengaruhi kesuksesan bimbel (geografis dan nongeografis), dan persebaran lokasi bimbel di Kota Yogyakarta. Sementara itu, data sekunder yang digunakan adalah peta administrasi, jaringan jalan, persebaran SMA/SMK, dan persentase kelulusan bimbel. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 6 karakteristik lokasi bimbel di Kota Yogyakarta memiliki nilai korelasi spearman sebesar 0,331 terhadap kesuksesan bimbel. Artinya terdapat korelasi yang cukup antara karakteristik lokasi dan kesuksesan bimbel di Kota Yogyakarta.

The tutoring trend is a phenomenon that occurs among students in the city of Yogyakarta. Not participating in tutoring activities is not true according to students in the City of Yogyakarta. The tutoring activity that is considered necessary to be followed is preparation for the state university entrance exam such as UTBK and mandiri exam. The high number of demands has caused economic actors in the field of eduacion to establish tutoring in various areas, including the city of Yogyakarta. Variations in the location of tutoring in the city of Yogyakarta can be seen from geographical and non-geographical factors. This study aims to see the effect of location characteristics on the success of tutoring in the city of Yogyakarta. The method used is spatial and correlation test. The spatial method is used to identify the characteristics of the location of the tutoring. The characteristics of the tutoring location are identified by site and situation aspect. Meanwhile, the correlation test used is the spearman correlation test. The variables tested for correlation are the characteristics of the location and the success of the tutoring participants. The success of tutoring participants is measured by the percentage of graduation from each tutoring location and the ratio of tutoring participants entering top state universities. The primary data of this research are site and situation aspects, factors that influence the success of tutoring (geograhical and non-geographical), and the distribution of tutoring location in the city of Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, secondary data used are administrative maps, road network, distribution of high school, and percentage of tutoring graduations. The result of this research is the 6 characteristics of tutoring locations in the city of Yogyakarta have a spearman correlation value of 0,331 to the success of tutoring. This means that there is a sufficient correlation between the characteristics of the location and the success of tutoring in the city of Yogyakarta.
