Pendidikan menjadi topik pembicaraan di Indonesia pada tahun 2020, khususnya Provinsi Jakarta, terkait aturan zonasi sekolah pada penerimaan peserta didik baru (PPDB). Ketersediaan SMAN yang tidak merata di setiap kelurahan, serta demografi siswa menjadi pertimbangan dalam penentuan wilayah zonasi sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Cilincing dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui lokasi SMAN berdasarkan aksesibilitas dan wilayah zonasi serta, faktor pendukung lainnya seperti keunggulan sekolah yang terdiri dari peringkat UTBK dan daya tampung bangku sekolah. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan orang tua siswa dan tingkat pendapatan orang tua siswa terhadap lokasi SMAN yang dipilih berdasarkan aksesibilitas dan wilayah zonasi sekolah serta keunggulan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis spasial dan statistik deskriptif, yakni uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lokasi SMAN yang dipilih mayoritas siswa adalah lokasi sekolah yang berada dalam zonasi dengan aksesibilitas kurang mudah dan cukup mudah dari rumah siswa serta mayoritas siswa memilih sekolah dengan keunggulan peringkat 3. Pada hasil uji chi square menunjukkan tidak adanya hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan orang tua siswa dengan lokasi SMAN yang dipilih, namun terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pendapatan orang tua siswa dengan lokasi SMAN yang dipilih, serta tidak adanya hubungan tingkat pendidikan dan pendapatan dengan keunggulan sekolah, namun adanya kecenderungan pemilihan sekolah antara tingkat pendidikan dan pendapatan terhadap keunggulan sekolah.

Education became a discussion topic in Indonesia in 2020, especially in Jakarta, regarding school zones rules on the New Students Admission (PPDB). The unequal availability of State Senior High School in each urban village and student demographics became a consideration in determining the school zones area. This research was conducted in Cilincing District and aimed to understand the location of State Senior High School based on accessibility and zones area. In addition, there were supporting factors such as school excellence consisting of UTBK (Computer Based Exam) ratings and school capacity. Besides that, this research also aimed to find out the relationship between the Parents’ education level and the income level of the chosen State Senior High School locations based on accessibility and school zones area, as well as school excellence. This research applied spatial analysis and descriptive statistics methods, which were the chi-square test. The result showed that the location of the State Senior High School chosen by the majority of students was the location of the school zones which was in less easy and fairly easy accessibility from students' homes. In addition, most students chose a school with an excellence rank of 3. The chi-square test results indicated that there was no relationship between the Parents’ education level and the location of the chosen State Senior High School. However, there was a relationship between the parents’ income level and the chosen State Senior High School location. Besides that, there was no relationship between the level of education and income with school excellence. However, there was a tendency of school choice with education level and income towards school excellence.
