 Abstract

Organic Light-Emitting Diodes are electroluminescent devices that are expected to be the light source of the future. Lamination is one method that can be used for OLED fabrication. This method offers simplicity, low cost, and compatibility for large-area devices. In this paper, we fabricate and analyze the effect of substrate/electrode size and cathode thickness on electrical and optical characteristics. It was found that the larger device and the cathode with a thickness of 30 𝜇m had better characteristics. However, the device was still experiencing degradation. It was previously found that the degradation might be caused by electro-oxidation, which may occur due to thermal influence. In order to confirm this, the operating temperature of the OLED is monitored during operation. From the measurement results, it was found that the device did not experience significant temperature changes; therefore, it can be concluded that the device did not experience thermal degradation.
