Latar Belakang: Berbagai perubahan kondisi yang terjadi akibat terjadinya pandemi Covid-19 seperti berkurangnya pengalaman bekerja langsung pada pasien, keterbatasan pasien, serta penyesuaian lingkungan klinik mungkin dapat memengaruhi kesiapan mahasiswa profesi terhadap praktik kedokteran gigi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kesiapan mahasiswa profesi FKG UI melakukan praktik kedokteran gigi pada masa pandemi Covid-19 Metode: Studi analitik observasional cross-sectional dengan metode total population sampling dilakukan pada 97 mahasiswa profesi FKG UI yang telah melalui seluruh stase klinik dengan menggunakan kuesioner secara daring. Analisis meliputi statistik deskriptif, uji korelasi Spearman, dan uji bivariat (p < 0,05). Hasil: 70.1% mahasiswa menilai instruktur baik, 59.8% mahasiswa menilai lingkungan klinik kondusif, 63.9% mahasiswa menilai metode penilaian terukur, 79.4% mahasiswa menilai interaksi instruktur klinik dan mahasiswa baik serta 62.9% mahasiswa menilai metode pembelajaran baik. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara instruktur klinik, lingkungan klinik, interaksi instuktur klinik dan mahasiswa profesi, serta metode pembelajaran dan kesiapan mahasiswa profesi melakukan praktik kedokteran gigi (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara instruktur klinik, lingkungan klinik, interaksi instuktur klinik dan mahasiswa profesi, serta metode pembelajaran klinik dan kesiapan mahasiswa profesi melakukan praktik kedokteran gigi.
Background: Various changes that occurred due to Covid-19 pandemic such as reduced experience working with patients, patient limitations, and adjustments to the clinical environment may affect the preparedness of dental students for dental practice. This study aims to determine the factors related to the preparedness of dental students of FKG UI for dental practice during Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: A cross-sectional observational analytical study using the total population sampling method was conducted on 97 students using an online questionnaire. Statistical analysis included descriptive statistics, Spearman correlation test, and bivariate test (p<0.05). Results: 70.1% of students rated the clinical instructor as good,59.8% students rated the clinical environment as conducive,63.9% of students rated the clinical assessment method as measurable,79.4% students rated the interaction between clinical instructors and students as good and 62.9% students rated the clinical learning method as good. There were significant differences between the clinical instructors, the clinical environment, interactions between clinical instructors and students, and clinical learning methods with the preparedness of dental students for dental practice (p<0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the clinical instructors, the clinical environment, interactions between clinical instructors and professional students, and clinical learning methods with the preparedness of dental students for dental practice.
