Gua Batu di Desa Napal Licin, Sumatra Selatan merupakan situs yang dimanfaatkan masyarakat prasejarah dan memiliki temuan artefak batu yang raya, baik dari aspek bentuk maupun bahannya. Diketahui 1.022 artefak batu ditemukan pada ekskavasi Sektor II tahun 2013 dan 2014 oleh Balai Arkeologi Sumatra Selatan. Berdasarkan sortir dari 1.022 artefak yang ditemukan, hanya 50 yang menujukkan ciri alat. Skripsi ini membahas tipologi bentuk alat batu dengan unit analisis bentuk umum alat, bentuk khusus alat, letak tajaman, dan bentuk tajaman. Analisis tipologi menghasilkan tiga tipe, enam subtipe, empat variasi, dan empat subvariasi. Penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa temuan di Gua Batu memiliki corak Paleolitik hingga Neolitik, sedangkan berdasarkan pertanggalan Gua Batu merupakan situs yang berasal dari masa Neolitik.

Gua Batu in Desa Napal Licin, Sumatra Selatan, is a site used by prehistoric people and has great stone artifact findings in terms of shape and raw material. It is known that 1,022 stone artifacts were found from sector II excavations in 2013 and 2014 done by Balar Arkeologi Sumatra Selatan. Based on the sorting of those 1,022 artifacts, only 50 showed the characteristics of the tools. This research discusses the form typology of the stone tool with a unit of analysis of the general shape of the tool, the specific shape of the tool, the location of the edge, and the shape of the edge. The typological analysis resulted in three types, six subtypes, four variations, and four subvariations. This research also shows that the stone tools from Gua Batu have a Paleolithic to the Neolithic pattern, although based on the dating of the cave, the site was from the Neolithic period.
