Apoteker mempunyai tanggung jawab yang penting di Industri Farmasi dan Apotek, yaitu pada proses pembuatan obat hingga pemberian obat kepada pasien. Apoteker harus menjaga mutu, keamanan, dan efektivitas obat agar pasien dapat memperoleh produk yang berkualitas. Oleh karena itu, Apoteker perlu memenuhi Standar Kompetensi Apoteker agar dapat menjalankan pekerjaan kefarmasian dengan rasional dan bertanggung jawab. Calon apoteker harus menjalankan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) sebelum dapat menjalankan pekerjaan kefarmasian. Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker dilaksanakan di PT Takeda Indonesia dan Apotek Roxy Jakasampurna pada periode Januari hingga April tahun 2021. Kegiatan Praktik Kerja Profesi Apoteker ini diharapkan agar seorang calon Apoteker dapat memperoleh pengetahuan baru mengenai pengadaan bahan baku hingga pengiriman produk jadi (obat) kepada distributor di PT Takeda Indonesia dan pengadaan obat hingga pemberian obat kepada pasien secara langsung di Apotek Roxy Jakasampurna, serta memahami seluruh tugas pokok dan fungsi Apoteker di industri dan apotek.

Pharmacists have important responsibilities in the Pharmacy and Pharmacy Industry, namely in the process of making drugs to administering drugs to patients. Pharmacists must maintain the quality, safety, and effectiveness of drugs so that patients can get a quality product. Therefore, Pharmacists need to meet the Competency Standards for Pharmacists to carry out pharmaceutical work rationally and responsibly. Prospective pharmacists must carry out the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) before they can carry out pharmacy work. The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice is carried out at PT Takeda Indonesia and the Roxy Jakasampurna Pharmacy in the period January to April 2021. This Pharmacist Professional Work Practice activity is expected so that a prospective pharmacist can gain new knowledge regarding the procurement of raw materials to delivery of finished products (drugs) to distributors in PT Takeda Indonesia and drug procurement to giving drugs to patients directly at the Roxy Jakasampurna Pharmacy, as well as understanding all the main duties and functions of pharmacists in industry and pharmacies.
